About the Campaign

The National Museum of the United States Army is an extraordinary project, and one that requires an equally extraordinary Capital Campaign to create this long overdue tribute to the Soldiers of America’s Army.

Under a September 2000 Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of the Army, the Army Historical Foundation is serving as the official fundraising entity for the National Museum of the United States Army.  The Army Historical Foundation, one of the nation’s most respected organizations for preserving and promoting the Army’s history, has launched a $200 million Capital Campaign to build the National Museum at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

This national Campaign will provide funding to design and build the National Museum, create engaging exhibitions, develop outstanding educational programs, conserve rare and important artifacts and manuscripts, and memorialize the service of over 30 million Soldiers.
